Thigh Lift Tunisia: What is it?

A thigh lift Tunisia is performed to remove any excess skin and fatty tissue in order to improve the shape and contour of the legs. It is done by excising excess skin and is generally performed in association with Thigh liposuction.

Why am I being offered this procedure rather than simple liposuction?

Correction of the inner thighs is linked to excess skin and fat. If the excess skin is too great, liposuction is not enough and the results will be disappointing. It is then necessary to suggest removing part of the skin from the inner side of the thigh. A scar is then inevitable, but the result will live up to expectations.

Thigh lift: the procedure

An incision is made at the top of the thigh near the groin, excess skin is excised and liposuction is also performed.

The duration of the intervention is approximately two hours and the duration of hospitalization is 3 to 5 days depending on the importance of the intervention.

The scar is placed in the crease of the thigh and is therefore perfectly hidden in the swimsuit.

Thigh Lift Tunisia: After the procedure

This procedure imposes strong tension on the tissues at the root of the thigh. In the first fifteen days, movements of spreading the thighs are prohibited. This type of movement will be carried out gradually over the following fifteen days. Normal activity can therefore be resumed one month after the procedure. For sport, you will have to wait for perfect healing, that is to say a period of a month or two.

What are the operating risks?

Hematoma: This is a collection of blood on the inner thigh which generally occurs in the 24 hours following the intervention. This complication can sometimes require re-surgical intervention.
Infection: It generally occurs from the 3rd day, with the area surrounding the scar becoming red and painful. The treatment is most often local with dressings which will cleanse the wound. This is the major complication of this procedure, because the scar is located in a fold area which tends to macerate. Care must therefore be carried out perfectly to allow rapid healing.

Thigh lift: The result

The final result is assessed within 3 to 6 months after the operation, the time necessary for the complete disappearance of postoperative edema. Most often, we observe a good correction of fatty infiltration and sagging of the skin, which significantly improves the morphology of the thigh.

The scar never disappears completely but it fades over time. It is often pink the first 3 months after the procedure, before gradually discoloring over a period of twelve to eighteen months provided it has not been exposed to the sun.
